  Oh My Gosh! I just discovered Cornbread Casserole!

  we were invited to a friend's house for dinner and our hostess served pot roast with an out of sight salad and corn casserole.

  i tried the cassarole and loved.

  made a pan a couple of days ago and no one will eat but me but i don't care.

  Corn bread is good for you at least according to Snowbird as well. It doesn't contain harmful gluten to people with celiacs. That's a huge benefit to someone like myself. So long as theres no wheat. I'll have to give this stuff a try.

  Cancelled bookstudy- but do you remember 4 day Assemblies!!!

  assemblies used to go for 5 days which caused problems for brothers with work so....it was changed to thursday to sunday......then half of thursday to sunday.....then 3 days only.

  does anyone remember this....i remember 3 and a half days.

  What could you say in 3, 8 hour days let alone, 8 grueling days that hasn't been repeated and drummed into people heads almost daily 365 days a year. It's just a slow and gruelling beatdown, till your brain doesn't critically think anymore, but only repeats and obeys.

  Good question Cameo. I don't know the answer, but I'm sure other Canucks have noticed this from time to time as well. I think they try to get you hooked with their goodies, so you will subscribe by holding back the juicy stuff. Maybe just for countries outside the US.

  this is a re-hash of a post i made a few years back when i had only just 'left'.

  but as time has gone by i have become even more convinced that the witnesses are, how can i put this, a fairly miserable lot.

  it seems to me that what separates humans from other animals is our culture and traditions.

  The real Grinch that stole Christmas and everything else, was a fat ass peckerhead named Rutherford. The witnesses used to celebrate things like everyone else. I always like to remind peolple of this largely forgotten Jackoff.

  For the Da Judge though, he had two massively expensive luxury cars during the depression, and was sleeping with Berta Peale. I read that they found hairpins in his hotel rooms, and that he also attended burleaque clubs in Paris. Why would he need any holidays? He had a great time every day. From the time he usurped Russels power by disregarding his last will and testament, he power tripped till he finally got colon cancer from drinking too much. Must have been all that prohibition booze.

  I can't beleive people were foolish and stupid enough to swallow all this mans load of shit. "Hey that sounds great! Lets work for peanuts and slave for this shithead at Bethel who can do whatever he wants, while we play annoying phonographs on peoples doorsteps, get our asses kicked, work for nothing, and have all of our holidays, celebrations and reasons for living, taken away." Doesn't that sound appealing?

  Ya but didn't those dramas make it all worth while. The fake beards, poor voice dubbing, lousy sets. Why it was just like you were walkin in Jerusalem with Jesus!

  I don't know if they should receive an award for the most God awful boring sessions of tedium and monotony, ever perpetrated on mankind, the poorest acting, the poorest voice overs, or being the biggest suckers ever, that had to clean up all this shit after the fun was over.

  The witnesses must have the best rose coloured glasses in the world. I'd climb the walls if I had to sit through that shit again.

  In all honesty, I think to most younger ones, it was a great time. To pick people up that is. Meet new girls, invite them for a swim at the hotels, go out partying and then do feild service. What a freakin joke!

  I remember my dad driving hundreds of miles to North Bay. That was our vacation. The only difference between me and the other witnesses is, they were doing all the above at the hotels but I wasn't allowed.

  We had to wear suit and tie sometimes with a vest, in blazing hot bleachers. Leaving your seat was a big no no. Really happy times. You could probably fry an egg on the stage.

  I can't even imagine 8 days of that. I wouldn't have a brain left. The conditions must have been awful. Sweaty sex, at those cheap hotels, must have been the highlight of the conventions in those days.

  Thanks Cameo. I'm sure how much luck you'll have though. It's not a matter of content. It says right on the screen " Not available in your country" I've noticed that a few times, ocassionally. Doesn't happen often, but don't fret if you can't do it. I can get some National geographic clips, but not all of them.
